Wind Tunnel Skydiving – Dancing on the air

Float like a butterfly and tumble like a gymnast.

I’ve never gone skydiving and it is high on my list of things to do this year. Since my cousin is a skydiving instructor, I’d say I have a better than average possibility of making it happen.

He’s also beginning to work in indoor skydiving tunnels. I’d heard of this but never seen it. He turned me on to this video and it reminds me of the slacklining video from a few weeks back. These guys are amazing acrobats in a weightless environment. Their ability to manipulate their bodies and ride the air tunnel with such beautifully coordinated movements is truly amazing.

I’m always impressed by the way people think of taking a new form of movement and going beyond the pale.

I wonder when this will become an event in the X-Games.

  • I went skydiving in Queenstown last December. Jumped from 12,000 feet. Terrifying, majestic and thrilling all at once. Definitely go for it Mike, you’ll never forget it!

Yeah! Right on. 12,000 feet sounds incredible. Honestly, I’ve wanted to do this for as long as I can remember. Time to MAN UP and get it done!
